6pm Wednesday 18th February
King George Square

As the grieving families of Myuran Sukumaran and Andrew Chan hold vigils for their sons in Sydney & Melbourne, Brisbane will also stand for mercy at 6pm Wednesday 18th February in King George Square.
Please join with Amnesty, Australians Against Capital Punishment, Australian Lawyers for Human Rights and Brisbane Mercy Vigil at this vigil for Myuran and Andrew, their families and indeed, others around facing the death penalty around the world.
With vigils now to be held in most capital cities, Australia will be making a peaceful and powerful stand for Mercy and urge the Indonesian President to halt executions.
The death penalty is a violent, inhumane and outdated punishment that has no place in today’s criminal justice system.

We’re not aware of another one, but will post something if we hear. Also worth keeping an eye on the Amnesty website – http://www.amnesty.org.au/features/comments/36460
