Thank you for supporting our previous events. Australians Against Capital Punishment together with the Julian Wagner Memorial Fund are combining again, this year, to hold our dinner to mark World Day Against the Death Penalty.

Friday.

This year it will include a panel session on the important topic: “What Can Australians Do to Oppose the Death Penalty?”  

We have three terrific panellists: Chris Hayes, the Labor co-chair of Australian Parliamentarians Against the Death Penalty; Sara Kowal, Vice-President of the Capital Punishment Justice Project, Sara also runs the Monash University Anti-Death Penalty Clinic, where law students work across Asia on anti-death penalty advocacy and casework; and Cindy Wockner, renowned journalist and author who spent years covering the Bali 9 story.
