To mark the 19th World Day Against the Death Penalty, the Human Rights Institute of the International bar Association called for universal abolition of legalised killing; ratification of the Second optional Protocol to the Universal Covenant on Civil and Political Rights; and the end to discriminatory and disproportionate realities faced by women on death row.
